When you vote on claims, comment on posts, or respond to surveys, we record that activity against your account.

We use your information to operate your account, send transactional emails (verification, password resets), display your name alongside comments you post, and to aggregate anonymized civic research insights from survey responses.
3. Survey Data
Individual survey responses are stored alongside your account ID for the purpose of preventing duplicate submissions, but published research findings present only aggregated, anonymized statistics — never your individual responses.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your information with third parties except where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Data Determinics, KuwaRef, or our users.
5. Cookies & Sessions
We use a secure, HTTP-only session cookie solely to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Data Security
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All forms are protected against cross-site request forgery. Database queries use parameterized statements to prevent injection attacks. Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
You may update your profile information at any time from your account dashboard. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us via the contact page.
8. Children's Privacy
KuwaRef is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
